Founded in 2019 by Aditya Sharma in Panchkula, India, Sparrow Analytics is a technology-driven startup focused on making spatial and data analysis accessible and actionable. Building on work developed with Dr. Debanshu Roy during their Fulbright Fellowship in the United States, the company leverages expertise in GIS, analytics, climate science, and public health to provide tailored geospatial platforms and services that enable organizations to analyze and visualize data efficiently in secure, scalable, cloud-based environments. Sparrow Analytics gained early recognition during the COVID-19 lockdown by supporting the Haryana state government with spatial analytics for containment and relief efforts, earning selection as a winner at the MIT Solve 2020 Challenge. Since then, the company has undertaken impactful projects, including creating a Digital Twin for Chandigarh in 2023 to aid climate change mitigation and environmental monitoring, and securing funding in 2024 from the United States–India Science & Technology Endowment Fund to develop an AI-enabled system for predicting mosquito breeding sites.
